Deine Fragen / Unsere Antworte

Where can I find the serial number of my Yanmar engine?
The serial number is usually embossed or affixed to a nameplate on the engine block, often on the front or side of the engine. It typically starts with the series designation, for example 3YM or 4JH, followed by a sequence of numbers. The exact position is shown in the manual.
How often should the raw water pump impeller on a Yanmar be changed?
Yanmar recommends changing it annually or every 250 to 300 operating hours in most service plans – whichever comes first. If you use the engine seasonally, it makes most sense to replace the impeller at the beginning of each season, as rubber can become brittle even when not in use.
Are compatible filter parts as reliable as genuine Yanmar filters?
Compatible filters from reputable manufacturers are designed for the respective Yanmar series and usually meet the same filter values and pressure specifications. Make sure that the compatible engine types are explicitly listed in the product text before you order.
Which zinc anodes do I need for the heat exchanger of my Yanmar engine?
This depends on the exact engine model, as Yanmar uses various heat exchanger sizes. The zinc anode is usually installed as a pencil anode in the heat exchanger and is model-specific – with the exact engine designation, you will find the right anode in our shop without any guesswork.
