Deine Fragen / Unsere Antworte
- What filter fineness do I need as a pre-filter for my pressurized water pump?
- For pump protection, a filter fineness of 20 to 50 micrometers is usually sufficient. Finer cartridges increase flow resistance and can reduce the pump's flow rate.
- Are all filter housings suitable for drinking water?
- No. For drinking water, you need housings and cartridges with a corresponding drinking water approval – explicitly look for this label when purchasing.
- How often do I have to change the filter cartridge?
- At least once per season, or more frequently if the water quality in the tank is poor. A noticeable drop in water pressure at the tap is a sure sign that the cartridge should be replaced.
- What do I need to consider when winterizing my water filter?
- Completely empty the filter, remove the cartridge, and store the housing dry. Stagnant residual water in the housing quickly leads to germ and mold formation over the winter.
