Keep an Eye on Course, Data, and Safety
Navigation and communication are crucial for safety and overview. Interfaces like NMEA 2000/0183, suitable sensors, and correct voltage are essential.
Many systems can be expanded step-by-step – from a simple display to a fully networked setup.
This way, you get technology that truly supports you and proves its worth at sea.
Discover variants, materials, and designs built for maritime use. This ensures you find equipment that remains reliable on board – season after season.

Deine Fragen / Unsere Antworte
- Does a standard household antenna work on a boat?
- Temporarily yes, but not recommended for long-term use. Household antennas are not designed for salt air, UV radiation, and vibrations – the housing and connectors quickly corrode, and reception suffers.
- Do I need a different antenna for DAB+ reception than for FM?
- DAB+ and FM use different frequency ranges. Many marine combination antennas cover both – when buying, make sure the antenna is explicitly designated as a DAB+/FM combination device.
- How much cable loss can I expect with long coaxial cables?
- That depends on the cable type and frequency. As a rule of thumb: the thicker and higher quality the coaxial cable, the lower the loss per meter. For long runs over 10 m, an antenna amplifier is advisable.
- Which mount is suitable for the masthead?
- Round mast mounts are the most common choice and fit most round masts. Check the mast diameter and whether the supplied clamp covers this range – many manufacturers offer clamping ranges of around 20 to 60 mm.
