Optimize Trim and Control
Rigging is all about trim, control, and reliable power transmission on board.
When choosing, consider breaking strength, diameter, and compatibility with your existing hardware. Ball bearings run smoothly under load, while plain bearings are robust and low-maintenance.
This ensures precise, smooth, and durable sail handling.
Discover variants, materials, and designs built for marine use. This way, you'll find equipment that remains reliable on board – season after season.

Deine Fragen / Unsere Antworte
- How do I find the right block for my rope?
- The decisive factor is the permissible sheave diameter of the block in relation to the rope diameter – most manufacturers specify a minimum and maximum diameter. In addition, the breaking load of the block should at least match the maximum apparent force at the respective location, not just the line strength.
- Can I combine rigging components made of different materials?
- Generally yes, but galvanic corrosion can occur with direct metal contact between aluminum and stainless steel. A plastic washer or an insulating ring between the parts can help if the combination cannot be avoided.
- When should I choose ball bearing blocks instead of plain bearing blocks?
- Ball bearing blocks are recommended wherever lines are moved frequently and under significant load, for example on the mainsheet or jib furler. For rarely used deflection points or positions with low loads, plain bearings are easier to maintain and just as reliable.
- How do I properly maintain my rigging components?
- Rinse thoroughly with fresh water after sailing and at the end of the season to remove salt crystals from bearings and hinges. Then check moving parts for ease of movement and, if necessary, treat them with a water-displacing agent – seized bolts or bearings often only become apparent when they are needed under load.
