Optimize Trim and Control
Clutches, Stoppers & End Fittings are all about trim, control, and reliable power transmission on board.
When choosing, breaking load, diameter, and compatibility with your existing hardware are key. Ball bearings run smoothly under load, while plain bearings are robust and low-maintenance.
This ensures sail handling remains precise, smooth, and durable.
Discover variants, materials, and designs built for marine use. This way, you'll find equipment that remains reliable on board—season after season.

Deine Fragen / Unsere Antworte
- How do I find out which slider fits my existing track?
- Tracks have standardized profiles – most commonly T-slot profiles in various widths. Measure the width and depth of your groove or check the manufacturer's label on the profile. Sliders and tracks must be of the same profile type; otherwise, they will jam or snag under load.
- What rope diameter do I need a rope clutch for?
- Every clutch specifies a range of permissible rope diameters – typically a span of a few millimeters. Choose the clutch so that your rope is in the middle of this range; at the upper limit, it will grip less effectively, and at the lower limit, the line can slip through.
- Can I simply replace a ball bearing slider with a plain bearing slider?
- Yes, provided both are designed for the same track profile and the same load range. Ball bearings run more smoothly, while plain bearings are more robust and require less maintenance – which type is better depends on the position and frequency of operation.
- How do I maintain sliders and clutches so they remain smooth-running long-term?
- Regularly treat moving parts with a saltwater-resistant lubricant and check for burrs, cracks, or corroded areas after the season. Rinse tracks and clutch jaws with clear water to prevent salt crystals from roughening the running surface.
