Deine Fragen / Unsere Antworte

Are all LOXX upper and lower parts compatible with each other?
Within the LOXX system, standard and marine variants generally fit together, provided the base design matches. However, you should not mix parts from other manufacturers, as diameters and locking force may vary.
What material is most durable for snap fasteners on a saltwater boat?
V4A stainless steel is the first choice for permanent use in saltwater. Nickel-plated or galvanized variants are cheaper but rust significantly faster and should only be used on freshwater boats.
How do I securely attach LOXX bases to GRP without water penetrating the laminate?
Deburr the hole cleanly, then insert the base with a small amount of polyurethane or Sikaflex sealant before setting the rivet or inserting the screw. This will keep the hole permanently sealed.
My boat cover always tears at the snap fasteners – what can I do?
This usually happens when the fasteners were installed without a reinforcing washer on the back of the cover or if the fabric there is already weakened. When re-installing, place a sufficiently large washer or a reinforcing patch of the same material under the fastener.
