Ensure visibility and ambiance on board
Lighting provides visibility and safety on board – both inside and out.
Pay attention to the correct onboard voltage and protection class, especially for outdoor installation. LED technology saves energy and lasts a long time, while halogen provides a warm light color.
With the right lighting, every trip becomes more pleasant and safer.
Discover variants, materials, and designs built for marine use. This way, you'll find equipment that remains reliable on board – season after season.

Deine Fragen / Unsere Antworte
- Can I just use a standard LED bulb from a hardware store in my boat light?
- Only if it's designed for your onboard voltage (usually 12V or 24V). Hardware store LEDs typically run on 230V AC and are not suitable for onboard use. Additionally, they often lack the necessary protection against moisture and splashing water.
- How do I identify the base type of my old bulb?
- Unscrew the old bulb and check the inscription or the shape of the base. Common types on board are G4, G53, BA15, and MR16. If in doubt, a photo of the old bulb will help when comparing it with the product description.
- Which protection class do I need for bulbs in the exterior of my boat?
- For areas with a direct risk of splashing water – cockpit, helm station, stern – at least IP65 is recommended. Bulbs that may be permanently exposed to moisture should have IP67 or higher. Always check the IP rating in the product description, not just the wattage.
- Are all LED bulbs for boats dimmable?
- No, dimmability must be explicitly stated in the product description. Not every LED bulb can handle a dimmer – at best, it flickers; at worst, it breaks down prematurely. If you have a dimmer on board, specifically filter for products marked as dimmable.
