Keep track of course, data, and safety
Navigation and communication determine safety and situational awareness. Interfaces such as NMEA 2000/0183, suitable sensors, and correct voltage are crucial.
Many systems can be expanded step-by-step – from a simple display to a fully networked system.
This way, you get technology that truly supports you and proves its worth at sea.
Discover variants, materials, and designs built for maritime use. This way, you'll find equipment that remains reliable on board – season after season.

Deine Fragen / Unsere Antworte
- Are NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 devices compatible with each other?
- Not directly. You need a converter that translates between both protocols. If you have an existing NMEA 0183 network and want to add a new NMEA 2000 device, a gateway is the cleanest solution.
- What is the required mounting depth when purchasing a display?
- The mounting depth varies significantly depending on the device and is listed in the manufacturer's technical specifications. Carefully measure the available space behind your dashboard or bulkhead before ordering – especially in confined cockpit consoles, space can be tight.
- Can I combine an existing depth transducer with a new display from a different manufacturer?
- That depends on the transducer type and protocol. Ducer transducers via NMEA 2000 or 0183 can often be used across different manufacturers, while proprietary connections prevent direct combination. Check the technical documentation of both devices to see which transducer types are supported.
- How do I best protect instruments in the cockpit from seawater and sun exposure?
- Pay attention to the specified protection class – for openly mounted cockpit instruments, it should be at least IPX6. Seal cable glands behind the panel well and treat connectors with corrosion protection spray. UV radiation makes plastic bezels brittle over time; a display cover when not in use significantly extends the lifespan.
