Accurate dimensions, material, and clean installation are crucial here. Stainless steel is durable and corrosion-resistant, while brass and bronze are traditional and robust.

Deine Fragen / Unsere Antworte
- How do I secure a boat cover so it doesn't flap in the wind?
- Tension straps, bungee cords, or hooks on the grommets are the most common methods. It is crucial that the cover is evenly taut and has no loose areas that can catch wind – flapping chafes off paint and material.
- Should no air circulate under a boat cover?
- On the contrary, ventilation is especially important during winter storage. A completely airtight cover accumulates moisture and promotes mold growth on upholstery, wood, and in the interior. Many winter covers therefore have sewn-in ventilation zones or are stretched with spacers.
- Which cover material is most resistant to UV radiation?
- UV-stabilized fabrics made of coated polyester are among the most durable options. For every product, check whether explicit UV stabilization is indicated – not every outdoor fabric is equally well protected.
- Can I use one boat cover for different boat sizes?
- Universal covers can be adapted to a certain extent, but a poorly fitting cover will flap in the wind and damage surfaces. If your boat has an unusual width or pronounced superstructures, a custom-made or type-specific cover is the safer choice.
