Charge two battery banks simultaneously without them discharging each other: The Argodiode 80-2AC from Victron Energy neatly separates starter and service batteries – entirely without moving parts. With an input current of up to 80 A, it is perfectly equipped for most onboard systems with an alternator or shore power.
Tip: Diodes create a voltage drop of approx. 0.6 V. Set your alternator's regulator correspondingly higher or use the regulator's sense output to compensate for this loss.
