Clean fuel is the be-all and end-all for a reliable marine engine. This original Vetus replacement filter element with 30-micron filtration keeps coarse contaminants out of the diesel system – recognizable by the red text imprint.
Tip: The red filter element (30 µm) filters less finely than the blue one (10 µm), but clogs up more slowly. If you're on a long voyage and refuelling from unknown sources, the 30-micron element can be the more low-maintenance choice.
