Bridge between old engine bus and modern onboard network: The YDES-04N transmits engine data from your J1708 interface directly to the NMEA-2000 network – and makes RPM, temperature, engine hours and fuel consumption visible on any chartplotter. It is the only device on the market that also supports the proprietary Volvo Penta KAD protocol (EDC I and EDC II).

For configuration, a simple text file on a MicroSD card is sufficient – read the manual for the list of supported J1587 and KAD PIDs before setting alarm thresholds. Owners of engines without a Volvo Penta EDC diagnostic port can use the enclosed plug to make their own adapter cable.
