Clean lines, maximum safety: Trudesign's retractable thru-hull fitting disappears flush into the hull, relying on glass-reinforced polymer plastic instead of brass or bronze. Corrosion, electrolysis, and the typical verdigris problem are thus permanently a thing of the past – ideal for GRP, steel, and aluminum boats alike.
For sealing during installation, Trudesign recommends Sikaflex 591 or thread seal tape – this ensures a permanently tight fit while still allowing the fitting to be dismantled if necessary.
