As a sacrificial anode, it attracts electrolytic attack – thus keeping drive components and the engine block permanently free from pitting corrosion.

Tip: When installing, do not apply paint or grease to the contact surface between the anode and the engine – direct metal contact is crucial for electrical conductivity and thus the protective effect.
