After every use in salt or brackish water, flushing the cooling system is one of the most important maintenance measures on board. Gotthardt's round universal flushing muffs make it very simple: just attach them, connect a garden hose, and let fresh water run through – no flushing stand, no fuss.
Tip: After attaching the flushing muffs, let the engine warm up briefly before turning on the water – this will fully open the cooling water thermostats and ensure the entire cooling system is flushed evenly.
