Scanstrut radar mount, backstay mounted facing rearward

The semi-gimbal, damped Scanstrut radar antenna mount is installed forward of the backstay, with the antenna pointing aft. The radar is free of obstructions and protected from interference.

The stainless steel semi-gimbal mount, in conjunction with the finely tuned hydraulic damping, reacts to significant changes in the tilt angle. This ensures that the radar always remains at the same height as the horizon, while the radar's horizontal alignment guarantees the best possible radar image.

The robust support tube, made of seawater-resistant aluminum, is mounted on a sturdy base on deck, the transom, or the chainplate. The tube's angle can be adjusted to minimize the load on the backstay.

The cables are routed through a cable duct for a clean installation.

Two types are available, each suitable for different radar antennas.
