PSS Maintenance Kit for 40mm Shaft
To ensure your PSS shaft seal provides reliable sealing for years to come: This maintenance kit contains all wear parts that should be replaced every six years as part of the recommended bellows replacement. Suitable for 40mm shafts with a stern tube from 2 ½″ to 2 ⅝″ – everything in one kit, no tedious searching for individual parts.
Important notes: a) In bilges where unsealed batteries emit sulfuric acid vapor, or near an ozonator, the bellows must be inspected more frequently, as sulfuric acid vapor accelerates rubber degradation. b) The grub screws (locking screws) are single-use items and may only be used once. There are two grub screws in each of the two holes of the stainless steel rotor: the first secures the rotor to the shaft, and the second secures the first. The pointed collar at the base of the screws presses into the shaft, ensuring a secure hold – therefore, always use new screws after each removal.
