The classic among natural oil varnishes for wood on board: LeTonkinois Marine N°1 protects and enhances wood surfaces with a binder made of linseed oil, tung oil, and natural resins – long-lasting, deeply penetrating, and with a silky-rich finish. Applied in four to eight coats, it offers long-term weather protection that withstands even the harshest on-board conditions.
Tip: Always apply the first coat with approx. 5% LeTonkinois thinner – this allows the varnish to penetrate deeper into the wood and creates an optimal adhesive base for all subsequent coats. Intermediate sanding with 180 grit ensures maximum smoothness and better coat adhesion.
