Without a termination resistor, no NMEA 2000 network will run stably. This female terminator provides the correct 120-ohm termination at one of the two ends of your backbone cable and prevents signal reflections that can cause data errors or device failures.

Tip: An NMEA 2000 network always requires exactly two terminators (one at each backbone end) – one male and one female. If one is missing, sporadic outages and error messages may occur on connected devices.
