Jerky loads when mooring or in rough seas will, sooner or later, take their toll on bollards, cleats, and ropes. The 1852 spring tension damper absorbs precisely these shocks and gently distributes the force – significantly reducing wear and tear on lines, boats, and jetties. Robustly painted black, it blends discreetly into the appearance of any boat.
Tip: Do not allow the damper to be fully stretched out – the line should be adjusted so that the spring is slightly pre-tensioned even when at rest. This way, the damping effect also works for small movements.
