Your boat sails through the night
The magical hours on board are those between sunset and dawn. The world grows quieter, and life on board takes on its own unique rhythm. Thoughts become expansive and free. Eyes adjust to the darkness, red light, the search for beacons, the outlines of commercial shipping, and exciting harbor entrances at night. All of this is night sailing.
These great products from OCEAN BIRDS are indispensable for a safe passage and a good time.

Introduction to night sailing
We recommend the following tips to all novices in night sailing:
- Calm seas and a full moon – overall, long summer days with mild temperatures, a full moon and stable weather conditions are best.
- Experienced crew – the best way to experience your first harbor entry at night is as a guest on board with an experienced crew.
- Essential equipment – we recommend as personal equipment a rescue knife, a headlamp with red light and adjustable beam, and drinks/food always within easy reach.
