Scanstrut DS-LP Cable Seal – Low Profile, Waterproof, A4 Stainless Steel
Route cables cleanly and permanently watertight through the deck or superstructure – without complex modifications: The Scanstrut DS-LP is a particularly flat cable gland made of seawater-resistant stainless steel AISI 316 (A4), certified to IP68. Thanks to the removable cover, the cable can even be inserted with the plug already attached – a real advantage during initial installation or replacement.
Tip: Degrease the sealing surface before assembly and also apply a marine-grade sealant (e.g., Sikaflex 291) to the contact surface – this permanently protects the mounting holes from water ingress.
