The Fortress FX-37 is one of the best-known and most powerful lightweight anchors in the world – and surprisingly easy to handle at the same time. Thanks to its high-strength aluminum frame, it weighs only 9.5 kg with maximum holding power, can be completely dismantled, and stored on board to save space. For sailing yachts and motorboats between 14 and 15.50 m in length, it is the ideal choice as a main or bow anchor.
Tip: Before anchoring, set the flukes to 45° if you are in soft mud or sand – the significantly higher holding power can literally make all the difference. For harder ground, the 32° setting is recommended.
