If the exhaust system is long, a waterlock is needed to reliably prevent cooling water from flowing back into the engine. The Vetus LSG75 is specially designed for sailboats with long exhaust systems – with an integrated non-return valve as an additional safety measure.
Tip: When installing, ensure that the waterlock is lower than the exhaust outlet but higher than the waterline – this is the only way for the system to work correctly and for the non-return valve to provide its full protective effect.
