When it comes to corrosion resistance and smooth running, this Vetus propeller shaft makes no compromises. Manufactured from Duplex stainless steel 1.4462 – an alloy that reliably withstands continuous contact with saltwater – it is fully machined and ready for immediate installation. The included zinc anode provides additional protection against galvanic corrosion.
Tip: When installing, carefully check the alignment of the shaft with the coupling and stern tube – even the smallest angular misalignments noticeably increase vibration and bearing wear. Regularly check the zinc anode and replace it in good time before it is completely consumed.
