Two tasks, one component: The Vetus hat nut secures the propeller shaft and actively protects it from galvanic corrosion at the same time. The integrated zinc anode sacrifices itself instead of the metal of your shaft – for a longer lifespan of the entire drivetrain.
Tip: The zinc anode is considered used up when about 50% of its volume has eroded. Replace it in time before the base metal of the nut or the shaft itself is attacked.
