Two functions in one component: This cap nut secures the propeller on the shaft and simultaneously protects against galvanic corrosion thanks to the integrated zinc anode. Especially in saltwater, active sacrificial anode installation is most effective where it is needed most – directly at the running end of the shaft.

Tip: Zinc anodes should be replaced at the latest when they have corroded to about 50% of their original volume – regular checks when diving or on the slipway significantly extend the life of the shaft and propeller.
