Reliable shaft passage for underwater use: The Vetus GRP stern tube type BG guides the propeller shaft safely through the hull and forms the heart of every classic shaft system. Thanks to glass fibre reinforced plastic, it is corrosion-resistant, lightweight and ideally suited for use in saltwater.

The included Rulager35 bearing should be carefully aligned during installation so that the shaft and tube are flush – even a minimal offset can lead to increased wear on the bearing and rough running. Professional installation by a shipyard is recommended.
