When a single NMEA 2000 network reaches its limits, the YDNB-07N provides a solution: it seamlessly connects two physical NMEA 2000 networks into one logical overall network and transparently forwards messages between them. With its integrated script compiler, you go far beyond mere bridging – you filter, correct, and convert network data directly on board.

Programming the bridge requires basic knowledge of the NMEA 2000 standard. Documentation and specifications are available directly from the National Marine Electronics Association (nmea.org). Scripts are conveniently created with a text editor and transferred to the device via a microSD card – a smartphone with a card slot is sufficient for this.

  • Connects two physical NMEA 2000 networks into one logical network – overcoming the 100m length limit and 50 device limit
  • Built-in script compiler: filter messages, correct sensor offsets, and clean invalid data with a few lines of code
  • Galvanically isolated CAN interface for safe connection of non-compliant devices or higher voltages
  • Network diagnostics without a PC – messages and debug data are stored as a text file on MicroSD
  • Scalable: combine multiple bridges for up to 250 physical devices on the network
  • CAN gateway function with 50–1,000 kbps, e.g., for J1939-to-NMEA-2000 transitions
