Protect your Mercury outboard from galvanic corrosion: This sacrificial anode made of pure zinc is precisely manufactured for Mercury engines from 6 to 9.9 hp and reliably replaces the original unit. Installed on the underwater part, it sacrifices itself and thus protects the expensive engine metal from corrosion.

Tip: Check your anodes at least once per season, or more frequently if used year-round in salt water. A completely worn anode no longer offers any protection – replace it in good time before the engine metal is attacked.
