The Shakespeare Classic™ is the proven VHF whip antenna for sailboats, combining reliability with thoughtful mounting. With 3 dB gain and a robust stainless steel bracket, you'll always be reachable at sea – and you can easily lower the antenna if needed. The SO239 (UHF) connector is located directly in the base, allowing for a clean, tidy installation.
Tip: Seal the SO239 connector and coaxial cable at the transition well with self-amalgamating tape or heat shrink tubing – this prevents corrosion at the connection and ensures good signal quality in the long term.
