Active corrosion protection in fresh and brackish water: This magnesium sacrificial anode in a classic pear shape reliably protects your boat's metallic underwater components from electrochemical corrosion. Magnesium is the most reactive of the common anode materials and therefore the first choice for inland waters and slightly saline water.
Tip: Check sacrificial anodes regularly and replace them at the latest when they have degraded to around 50% of their original mass. Zinc anodes are suitable for saltwater, and magnesium is also suitable for brackish water – depending on the salinity of the area.
