When every second counts, the OceanSignal safeSEA S200 sends your exact GNSS/GPS coordinates to all AIS-equipped vessels within VHF range – faster and more reliably than radar-based systems. Regardless of fog, heavy rain, or rough seas, the S200 delivers your distress signal with a typical detection range of 5 nautical miles and up to 96 hours of operating time. Thanks to integrated NFC technology, registration is a breeze – a real gain in convenience on board.
Tip: Maintain a compass safe distance of at least 1 meter. Don't forget to replace the battery every 5 years – note the date directly in the logbook. For use from a life raft, the optional 1-meter telescopic pole is worthwhile to maximize the transmission range.
