Before the first coat of varnish is applied to the wood, a solid base is needed: Hempel Wood Impreg saturates the wood deep down and ensures that subsequent varnishes adhere optimally. Thanks to its good penetration properties, the clear alkyd oil reliably penetrates the wood fibers, protecting wooden boats and hardwood surfaces from within.

Tip: Apply Wood Impreg to clean, dry wood. At 10 °C, the touch-dry time is around 12 hours; at 20 °C, it is about 6 hours. Use Hempel Thinner 08111 as a thinner and for cleaning tools.
