The GPSMAP 86s can be connected to compatible Garmin chartplotters and instruments to display real-time vessel data directly on the handheld device.
This allows them to be used as a remote control for a Garmin autopilot and for certain FUSION radios.
Optional BlueChart g3 cards
The GPSMAP 86s comes with a worldwide basemap pre-installed. BlueChart g3 coastal charts can also be added.
Always connected
Smart notifications can be displayed directly on the GPSMAP 86s and 86i via a compatible smartphone. Synchronization with the Garmin Explore portal allows you to manage popular waypoints and routes via the cloud. The GPSMAP 86s and 86i support Wi-Fi, ANT+, and Bluetooth wireless technology for easy, wireless updates and connectivity. With a built-in lithium battery providing approximately 40 hours* of runtime, the device is well-suited for extended trips.
