The Fortress FX-55 is considered one of the most powerful lightweight anchors on the market – weighing only 14.5 kg. Thanks to its disassemblable aluminum construction, it can be stowed away to save space and yet still be used safely on board a ship up to 16–18 m. The adjustable fluke angle makes it a true all-rounder for various seabed conditions.
Tip: For silty or sandy seabeds, a 45° fluke angle is recommended – this way, the FX-55 develops its maximum holding power. When disassembling and stowing, an anchor bag is useful to keep the individual parts organized and readily accessible.
