Thanks to its time-delayed tripping, it withstands harmless inrush currents but consistently disconnects in the event of a sustained overload – and it does so on board where moisture and salt take their toll on materials.
Tip: Always use the exact ampere rating for the respective circuit. A fuse that is rated too high will no longer reliably protect against cable damage.
