Stainless steel AISI 304 hinge with built-in friction damping. This means they are slightly stiff, which can be an advantage as they lock the opening in the middle when you open a hatch. It also means the hatch won't slam shut unintentionally.

The damping can be adjusted with an Umbraco key.
