Keep your propulsion reliably running
Correct allocation saves time and protects the engine. Serial number, engine type and year of manufacture are the most important pieces of information.
For propellers, diameter, pitch and direction of rotation are crucial.
This keeps your propulsion efficient, economical and reliable.
Discover variants, materials and designs built for marine use. This way, you'll find equipment that remains reliable on board - season after season.

Deine Fragen / Unsere Antworte
- How do I find the correct serial number for my outboard?
- Most outboards have the serial number on a sticker or an embossed plate on the engine block, often near the swivel bracket or under the cowl. Write it down along with the year of manufacture before looking for spare parts – many components differ even within the same model series depending on the production year.
- How often do I need to replace the impeller of the raw water pump?
- Most manufacturers recommend replacement at least every two operating years or after a certain number of operating hours – check your service manual. A good time is the spring inspection before the start of the season, because a dry impeller can be damaged after winter storage without showing it externally.
- Which anode material is right for my operating area?
- For saltwater, zinc anodes are the classic choice; in freshwater, magnesium anodes protect better because zinc is hardly electrochemically active there. In brackish water, aluminum anodes are recommended as a compromise. Incorrectly chosen material either offers no protection or dissolves so quickly that you have to rework it in the middle of the season.
- Can I simply replace propeller accessories like shaft nuts or cotter pins without removing the propeller?
- No, to access the shaft nut, you generally have to remove the propeller. Use the opportunity to immediately check the shaft, hub, and cotter pin hole for corrosion or damage. When purchasing, have the shaft diameter and thread size ready so that the new cotter pin or nut fits exactly.
