Steel in the hull causes compass deviation – this compensator provides a remedy. With two sets of metal discs, which are attached to the sides of the Silva 100NBC and 125T-S compasses, deviation caused by onboard iron masses can be specifically neutralized. This way, your compass will reliably show the correct course even on a steel boat.

Tip: Perform deviation compensation in calm water on a known course – preferably with the support of an experienced navigator or according to the manufacturer's instructions, so that all compass rose bearings are correctly aligned.
