Ensure supply and comfort on board
Supply and comfort on board depend on suitable connections, material compatibility and the correct flow rate.
For drinking water products, you should pay attention to an appropriate approval. For gas: safety first.
This keeps the system tight, clean and reliable.

Deine Fragen / Unsere Antworte
- Which hoses can I use for drinking water on board?
- Only hoses with an approved drinking water release, for example according to WRAS, KTW or comparable standards. Standard PVC hoses without approval can release plasticizers or other substances into the water, especially at warm temperatures or with standing water for extended periods.
- How often do I need to replace the gas hoses on board?
- Manufacturer's specifications and the imprinted expiry date on the hose are binding – typically, the service life is around five years. Regardless, you should check the hose for cracks, hardening, and a secure fit at the clamps before each season.
- Can I install a normal pressure water pump from camping supplies?
- Technically, this often works, but carries risks: camping pumps are not designed for continuous exposure to salt air, vibration, and the installation conditions on board. For continuous use, pumps explicitly marked as marine or for the boat sector are recommended.
- What to do if the pressure water pump is running but no pressure is built up?
- The most common causes are air in the system, a clogged pre-filter, or a leaky suction line. First, check the water level in the tank and all connections on the suction side – a single small leak is enough for the pump not to build up suction.
