Deine Fragen / Unsere Antworte

What flag size is right for my boat?
As a rule of thumb for the stern flag, allow about 1 cm of flag length per foot of boat length. So, a 30-foot boat would fly a flag about 30 cm long. Different proportions apply to mast flags – please refer to the respective product description.
Is flying a courtesy flag really mandatory?
In many European countries, displaying a courtesy flag at the masthead when entering foreign waters is not just a custom, but a requirement. Inform yourself about the applicable regulations of your destination country before entering.
Which material is best suited for continuous use?
Woven polyester flags with sewn edges and reinforced fly ends withstand wind, salt, and UV radiation significantly better than lightweight printed nylon flags. For long-distance voyages or exposed positions, the more robust version is worthwhile.
Can I wash flags and how do I care for them properly?
Most polyester flags can be cleaned on a gentle cycle at low temperatures. Regularly check the flag for frayed edges and color loss – at the latest, then it's time for a replacement.
