Deine Fragen / Unsere Antworte
- How much load capacity do I need for a dinghy as a tender?
- Add the weight of all persons who will realistically be on board at the same time, plus equipment and luggage – and then factor in a buffer. The stated maximum load capacity should not be fully utilized during normal operation, especially in choppy waters.
- Is Hypalon or PVC better for an inflatable dinghy?
- Hypalon (CSM) is more UV and saltwater resistant and lasts significantly longer with good care – accordingly, the price is higher. PVC is lighter and cheaper, but should be stored dry and away from direct sunlight to prevent premature aging of the seams and material.
- Can I operate an inflatable dinghy with an outboard motor?
- Many inflatable dinghies have a reinforced transom for small outboards. It is crucial that the permissible engine power according to the product data is not exceeded and that the transom is designed for the respective clamping bracket distance of the engine.
- How do I properly care for an inflatable dinghy at the end of the season?
- Rinse thoroughly with fresh water, let it dry completely – especially the folds and seams – and then roll or fold it dry. Store in a cool, dark place, do not expose to pressure or sharp objects, and check the seams for micro-cracks or detachments before storing.
