If the starter battery is only charged by the alternator, it will discharge if the engine is not running for an extended period. The Pro Batt M charges the starter battery from the auxiliary battery while protecting the auxiliary battery from unwanted discharge. The Pro Batt M activates when the auxiliary battery voltage drops below 13.3V and diverts the excess power to the starter battery as a trickle charge. Easy installation.
