Before antifouling or topcoat really adheres, it needs the right substrate: Seajet 117 is a universal epoxy primer that ensures optimal adhesion on almost all underwater substrates. As a multi-purpose primer, it reliably connects old coatings, bare GRP, steel and aluminum with the new paint – thus laying the foundation for long-lasting corrosion and fouling protection.
Tip: Thoroughly sand, degrease, and prime the substrate when it is completely dry. Allow the primer to flash off sufficiently before applying antifouling – you can find the exact recoating times in the manufacturer's technical data sheet.
