Vetus Castellated Nut with Zinc Anode for 45mm Shaft

Two functions in one component: The Vetus acorn nut secures the propeller on the shaft and simultaneously actively protects it from galvanic corrosion. The integrated zinc anode sacrifices itself on behalf of expensive shaft components – an elegant solution for saltwater-tested underwater areas.

Tip: Zinc anodes should be replaced at the latest when they have corroded down to about 50% of their original mass. Check the anode during every shipyard period or after about six months of lying in saltwater.
