The sturdy brass casing ensures a firm fit in the stern tube and long-lasting corrosion resistance underwater.
Tip: For those who prefer a lighter bearing without corrosion risk, the Vetus product range also offers the type RL version with an outer casing made of reinforced phenolic resin – this does not corrode, weighs less, and is particularly easy to replace.
