Reliable bearing for the propeller shaft directly in the stern tube: The Vetus rubber bearing type RL guides the shaft with minimal play and is virtually maintenance-free – lubricated solely by the flowing water. The solid brass casing fits precisely into the stern tube and provides the necessary support for the rubber core.
Tip: Vetus also offers the same bearing type with an outer casing made of reinforced phenolic resin – lighter, corrosion-free, and particularly easy to replace. If you want to avoid frequent shipyard visits, you should consider the phenolic resin version.
