Robust shaft bearing for underwater use: The Vetus rubber bearing type RL guides the propeller shaft precisely and quietly – lubricated exclusively by the surrounding water, completely without oil or grease on board. The brass casing ensures permanent hold in the stern tube and reliable corrosion resistance in saltwater.
Tip: When installing, ensure that sufficient water flow through the stern tube is guaranteed – only then will the bearing be optimally lubricated and achieve its full service life. Vetus also offers the same bearing type with a phenolic resin casing: lighter, corrosion-free and particularly easy to replace.
