Reliable shaft passage for underwater applications: The Vetus GRP stern tube type BG guides the drive shaft safely through the hull and forms the heart of any classic shaft system. Thanks to fiberglass-reinforced plastic, it is corrosion-resistant, lightweight, and ideally suited for use in saltwater.

The included Rulager35 bearing should be carefully aligned during installation so that the shaft and tube are flush – even a minimal offset can lead to increased wear on the bearing and rough running. Professional installation by a shipyard is recommended.
